Janiyah is a talented seven-year-old singer with a beautiful voice and a love of music! At times she feels shy and worries that others might not understand or accept her because she has autism. She wears headphones to help her feel comfortable when sounds are too loud. As Janiyah discovers her confidence, she learns that her unique qualities make her who she is—and that she deserves to shine!

Miss Amy is the teacher and school OT who helps Cappy and his classmates understand that they’re one-of-a-kind and that they have the power to shape their own lives. When life becomes tough, Miss Amy shows children that they can handle problems and figure out solutions to create a better life. She reminds them that they have a superhero inside!

IT’S CAPTAIN ME DAY AT KELLER SCHOOL!

Get ready for music, laughter, big dreams — and a talent show that changes everything!

The students at Keller School are discovering an important secret: being the hero of your own story starts with believing in yourself and having the courage to make your own choices.

When the school talent show is announced, Janiyah and Cappy are determined to perform, but self-doubt gets in their way. Can they find the courage to take a chance, believe in their abilities, and step into the spotlight?

With Cappy’s hilarious jokes and Janiyah’s powerful singing, these two unforgettable characters bring plenty of laughter, heart and excitement to the stage. Their stories celebrate something every child can recognize: we all have strengths, challenges, and something special to share with the world.
